The Encyclopaedia of Sikhism (1992-98) says old weapons preserved from Guru Ji's time are shown on a low platform in the sanctum, and does not list them. Mann (2008) describes weapons of this period in general terms.

No catalogue or inventory was found, so it is not clear which weapons are shown or how far each is attributed to the time of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

  • Printed photograph of six old weapons in a row

Weapons displayed at Takht Kesgarh Sahib as relics of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, printed in Kahn Singh Nabha's Mahan Kosh of 1930. Commons names them as a spear, a musket, a khanda, a saif, a katar and a nagni.
