From the Encyclopaedia of Sikhism (1992-98). A Hindustan Times report of 2 January 2018, as adapted by the Sikh Museum Initiative, gives the SGPC's damage list in its 1984 compensation suit.

The treasury holds gold and silver ornaments, umbrellas, door leaves lined with gold, and rumalas. They come out for display on major occasions.

A canopy given to Maharaja Ranjit Singh by the Nizam of Hyderabad, and passed on by him to the Harmandir Sahib, was scorched in June 1984. A sandalwood fly-whisk by Haji Muhammad Maskin was offered on 31 December 1925.

The seizure of the treasury keys on 7 November 1921 set off the keys agitation.
