The Tribune (20 July 2021) reports that the Miri and Piri kirpans were shown to the congregation that year. SikhiWiki's list dates from a 2008 revision and is a community page. The Encyclopaedia of Sikhism's Akal Takht entry does not list them. What 1984 did to the collection is not reported in these sources.

SikhiWiki lists swords of Sri Guru Hargobind Ji standing for Miri and Piri, a sword of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and khandas of Baba Deep Singh and others. A second site says the weapons are displayed ceremonially each evening.

The Encyclopaedia says the Akal Takht building was destroyed in June 1984 and later rebuilt by kar seva.
