- The Encyclopaedia of Sikhism (published 1992-98) says it is believed to be lost for good. Nothing more recent was found.
The Puratan Janam Sakhi says Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji passed a manuscript of his compositions to his successor. Some have equated it with this pothi. The Encyclopaedia says that identification lacks sufficient authority.
